Capital Burger Arrives in Reston
The Capital Burger in DC serves up a more casual but equally high-quality experience as its fine dining counterpart, The Capital Grille. The restaurant’s main location in Mount Vernon Square offers burgers to impress any red meat lover. Plus, there’s a 7-day happy hour from 3 to 6:30 pm with both food and drinks. The unrated chicken sandwich could also compete with any of the other sandwiches in the fried chicken sandwich craze. Even my parents drive in from northern Virginia to meet me for lunch.
So when I heard The Capital Burger opened a new location in Reston Town Center, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Tucked right inside the Hyatt Regency, it’s a perfect spot for lunch and happy hour for the many businesses located in the area. This location features the same amazing burgers and chicken sandwich as the location in DC.
A New Breakfast Spot
However, the most notable feature about the Capital Burger in Reston is the daily breakfast menu. They offer a number of breakfast cocktails including a Bloody Mary and mimosa plus specialty cocktails like the Rose Spritz and the Pursuit of Happiness. This makes it a perfect spot for a traditional weekend brunch but the breakfast sandwiches and lighter full-size entrees also make it a great breakfast spot on a weekend. (We won’t tell your boss if you order a cocktail at your weekday, breakfast meeting!)
The breakfast sandwiches are the main staple of the restaurant’s breakfast menu. The sandwiches include sausage, bacon, or avocado. They are a little bit smaller than a regular lunch burger so you won’t feel overly stuffed. However, if a full-sized burger, is what you are going for, The Capital Burger has you covered. The Capital Breakfast Burger comes complete with cheddar cheese and a fried egg.

The menu also features a number of more traditional brunch entrees, including chicken and waffles, plus a traditional American breakfast plate. However, my favorite is the granola bowl with fresh berries, coconut, caramelized banana, and hot honey. This stole my heart with such unique flavors for a granola bowl. The caramelized banana gives it an upscale, creme brulee feel while the hot honey adds a kick without overwhelming the dish.
Don’t miss this great new addition for breakfast, lunch, and happy hour in the Reston Town Center and don’t forget to visit them in DC.
