Head to the White House lawn to see the National Christmas tree and the mini state trees - one for each state and territory. For fewer crowds, visit during the day or on a week night.

The Capitol Christmas Tree is often less crowded than the White House but just as lovely. Plus, you can visit it after a late afternoon trip to the Botanic Gardens.
