Head to the National Christmas Tree early to avoid the crowds. Take great photos with the White House and enjoy the miniature trees representing each state and territory decorated by local children.

Right next to the White House, you'll find Grilled Cheese DC. Order grown up grill cheese or build your own with sides like tomato soup or macaroni and cheese. Get it to go for a picnic near the Sculpture Garden.

Ice Skating at the Sculpture Garden

The ice rink at the National Grillery of Art Sculpture Garden is open daily at 11 from November to March. Enjoy two 45 minutes skating sessions for $10. Skates are available for rent for $5. Skating times begin on the hour.

Head to the Botanical Gardens to see national landmarks made from plants. Enjoy holiday decorations and miniature trains too.
