Booeymonger, A Unique Delicatessen

We stumbled across Booeymonger while perusing TripAdvisor for a tasty but inexpensive dinner option in Georgetown. We read that Booeymonger is a sandwich shop tucked away from the busy streets of Georgetown but still close to the main shops.  So after getting some delicious cupcakes from Sprinkles, we headed down the street to find the sandwich shop on the corner of Prospect and Potomac.

When we arrived, we noticed it perfectly blended with the beautiful, older residential buildings. Since it is a little off the beaten path, it gives visitors a more local feel with its rustic and cozy vibe. This is Booeymonger’s original location – they set up shop in Georgetown over 35 years ago! The restaurant has lots of made-to-order hot and cold sandwiches in addition to many salads, burgers, hot wings,  desserts, and breakfast plates.  You can also build your own sandwich if you don’t see one you like.  There are also many unique side options including macaroni salad, hummus, cottage cheese, and sesame noodles all to pair with your perfect meal. We had no problem finding a seat Sunday night but we saw some online reviews that said it can get crowded during the lunch rush.
